New regulations
Pursuant to current legislation, the new Royal Decree 984/2015, of 30 October, which you can find on our website, a Regular Inspection must be performed every 5 years. The distribution company (Nedgia) must inform its customers by letter regarding this process, notifying them of their option to select a qualified gas installation company to conduct the inspection of their installation.
If the customer wishes an installation company to conduct the inspection, they will be required to contact said company within the deadline indicated in the letter. The installation company shall be responsible for informing Nedgia of completion and the result of the inspection.
The regulations state that distribution companies are required to inform users connected to their network, with at least three months prior notice, about the need to conduct a periodic inspection of shared reception installations and/or individual installations at the supply points connected to their networks. If Nedgia has not received the corresponding inspection certificate within the deadline, it shall be considered that the customer has not completed the inspection with an installation company and the inspection will therefore be conducted by the distribution company.
