Why choose natural gas for your vehicle?
The natural gas used is the same energy that is used for more conventional purposes, but with specific pressure and temperature characteristics that allow it to be pumped into vehicles in its compressed state (CNG) or in its liquid state (LNG). Using it leads to great economic and environmental benefits.
Environmental benefits
Reduces unhealthy air quality pollutants to “almost zero”: eliminates almost 100% of NO2 emissions and 96% of PM volatile particles.
Priority for travelling and parking when traffic is restricted due to pollution.
Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions reduced by up to 30%.
Does not contain lead or traces of heavy metals. Does not emit sulphur dioxide (SO2).
Natural gas engines emit 50% less noise and vibrations than diesel engines.
Economic benefits
Between 25% savings on fuel cost per kilometre travelled compared to diesel, and 50% compared to petrol.
Kilometres travelled with €20: 275 km with petrol, 375 km with diesel and 555 km with natural gas.
Cheaper parking in regulated parking spaces.
Lower vehicle tax.
Lower tolls on motorways.
