The president of the Consorci Provincial de Bombers de València (CPBV), María Josep Amigó, and the director of NEDGIA Cegas, Juan Manuel Belda, signed a collaboration protocol to complement the training of the CPBV fire brigade on how to deal with incidents related to natural gas.
With this agreement, both entities aim to improve the training of the fire brigade by organising seminars for the staff of the Consortium with teams from the Technical Services of the natural gas distributor so that they can get to know, first hand, their day-to-day work and how they act in the face of these incidents. This practical learning will enable them to acquire greater professional competence in their actions to deal with natural gas-related incidents.
“A group of firefighters has been formed voluntarily and has been training in this type of action with work groups in distribution networks, liquefied natural gas plants and gas regulation stations, so this training will complement and improve the service that the Consorci de Bombers offers to the public,” remarked María Josep Amigó.
For his part, Juan Manuel Belda stressed that “coordination with emergency organisations is fundamental for managing incidents that may arise in relation to our gas distribution activity, which is why we at the company are working to strengthen communication and complement the training of the emergency services.”
